My parents migrated to Israel from the soviet union in 1990, my collection was inspired by the transformation they went through from immigrant’s to multi-local citizens, the new way they identify themselves with multiple places, experiences, and cultures. My parents are not Russians any more and they didn’t become locals, they are a mixture of identities. During my research, I discovered there was a connection between the soviet union and Israel since Israel establishment that influenced the life in Israel.

The Design combines Israels simple, practical, linen and cotton fabric clothing of the kibbutz and the clothes of the immigrants of the 1990s, which were elegant, bourgeois and made from woolen fabrics.
